The integration of foreign language pupils into Czech lessons

The bachelor's thesis analyzes the current situation and possibilities of Czech Primary school systém with the integration of foreign pupils with permanent resistance in the Czech republic into Czech language teaching. It deals with not only the options that are guaranteed by law, but also a possible collaboration between schools and other institutions or family. It provides the basic teaching aids that are available for education of these students. Based on the study of literature and consultation with teachers from two Prague Primary schools presents two case studies that describe a way of integrating foreign pupils in these schools, and measures which are succesful or not when working with them.
Teacher and the teacher's assistant's mutual cooperation in the first year of studies at primary school

The topic of this dissertation is the case study which is concerned with the cooperation of the teacher and the teacher's assistant in the process of education of the first class' pupils at primary school. Theoretic part is collected knowledge from the professional literature. There are described possibilities of pupils' support at the beginning of the compulsory education and the role of the teacher's assistant under the terms of this support. The text also includes the position of the teacher's assistant in legislation and the work of personal assistant. I paid attention to ethical and other problems which are connected with the work of teacher's assistant. In empirical part is processed the case study of the first class at quite common elementary school. It was caught the progress and the changes of teacher and teacher's assistant's cooperation in the term of one year. Collecting of the information was made by the form of observation, field research, dialogues and questionnaires. The cooperation between teacher and the teacher's assistant was not under way I expected. Pedagogue Josef Soukup

The theme of my thesis is the patriotic pedagogue Josef Věnceslav Soukup (1819-1882) whose life was full of feverish activity in the educational system. Moreover he was a prolific author of textbooks (one of his famous is The Technological Natural History) and musical works - we can mention his Wreath of fine songs which includes the song Wayfarer that is known for today. In music he paid attention to carols and Christmas songs and plays as well (the most famous is The Young Shephers of Bethlehem). J. V. Soukup excelled in almost every field, not only in pedagogy and music but also in drawing (he even taught Mikoláš Aleš, the well-known Czech painter), chemistry, technology and cultivation of plants. Moreover he contributed to many pedagogical magazines. The beginnins of his teacher's career were not easy, he strained for an appropriate position and during that time he had hardly anything to eat. He gave private lessons for food and played in pubs with the band of musicians to earn some money. However, as really hardworking and diligent student he got stipendium and thus he had not have any financial problems since that time. He knew K. S. The role of a teaching assistant in primary school

KRISTÝNA JEŽILOVÁ THE ROLE OF A TEACHING ASSISTANT IN PRIMARY SCHOOL ABSTRACT The thesis is about the profession of a teaching assistant and his interaction with pupils with special educational needs. It deals with what is the role of a teaching assistant during a teaching and how he helps pupils with special educational needs. The theoretical part explains important concepts which are crucial for this proffesion, that means joint learning, who the teaching assistant actually is and what he needs for his work and who are students with special educational needs. The practical part tries to outline the work of the teaching assistant by means of qualitative research. I was interested in how this work is viewed by assistants themselves, which I try to find out by means of research methods - interview and observation. On the basis of the results of the research, the conclusion of the investigation is elaborated, where all gained knowledge is summarized. The aim of the thesis is to find out what role the pedagogical assistants play and how they help pupils with special educational needs, how their assistants see their work, how their opinion on this profession differs and what it is the same.
Role of a teacher's assistant in Czech language lessons at primary school

The bachelor's thesis deals with the teaching of pupils with special educational needs at the second stage of mainstream primary schools during Czech language lessons. The research part is focused on the experience of teachers and teaching assistants from Czech language lessons. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to use the information to find out what the role of a teacher's assistant in Czech language lessons entails and how the cooperation between teacher and assistant in these lessons works. The work also focuses on what teaching assistants lack in Czech language lessons and what they would exclude from their work. The research part describes the results of qualitative research, which is carried out by the method of structured interviews with teaching assistants and educators. The expected number of respondents is eight teachers and eight teaching assistants.
Qualification of Teacher's Assistant

This diploma thesis deals with the qualification requirements for the role of teacher's assistants.The main aim of this thesis is to find out a level of satisfaction of teacher's assistants with the current form of qualification courses for teachers assistant role. The diploma thesis consists of four chapters, three of them are theoretical and the last chapter is a practical part. Theoretical part defines legislative background for the role of teacher's assistant, preferred personal traits, abilities and skills, the scope of work and the possibility of obtaining professional qualification and further education for the role of teacher's assistants. Also, there is a comparison of the teacher's assistant role in Czech Republic and abroad.
Profession of teaching assistant at primary school by his own perspective

Diploma thesis The profession of assistant teacher at the first level of elementary school with his own perspective, deals with the teacher's assistants in terms of motivation, which the actors led to the profession, in terms of demands for this profession, cooperation with teachers, pupils and their parents. The thesis also examines the position / role of teacher assistant at school and looks at the self-perceptions of the actors themselves. The thesis is divided into two parts, ie the theoretical part and the practical part. In the practical part are presented the results of analysis of interviews with teachers' assistants. In the theoretical part, the reader is first acquainted with the trend of inclusive education, the division of pupils with special educational needs and the provision of support measures, including the profession of teacher assistant.
